A lot of people buy homes by taking a mortgage from a Bank or a financial institute. The bank offers these funds only after taking the legal claim against the property in the form of Collateral until the loan has been paid off.

And now, the homeowner’s asset is free and clear. He wouldn’t be subjected to any obligations or terms of the lender; thus, closing the lending account.
Not just with a mortgage, but a deed of release may also be used with an employment agreement. This document can free up both the employee and the employer from any sort of Obligation they would have under the agreement.
