A headhunter is an individual or a firm providing the service of recruitment for an employer or employers. Headhunters are hired by companies to be able to find and recruit people for certain job requirements. They are also called executive recruiters since they perform executive searching.

Headhunters recruit by having a pool of good candidates or might find talent by looking at competitor’s employees. These professionals are hired when a company or an employer is not able to find anyone to fit a particular role or when there is immediate urgency.

Headhunters are paid when they have found the right person to fit the job profile. They will not ask the candidate about the payment he/she received in the previous job. They would rather speak about the salary Range upfront and ask if it was good enough for the candidate in review.
