Through SIP or Systematic Investment plan, people invest a prefixed amount at regular intervals in Mutual Fund schemes. The SIP payment in Mutual Funds can be either through Net Banking or NEFT/RTGS mode. If people opt for Net Banking mode of payment, then they need to add a biller in their Bank account through net banking so that the payment gets deducted automatically at the predetermined intervals. The procedure of adding biller is different for each bank. So, let us look how to add biller for SIP transactions in HDFC Bank.
Once you make your first payment, you receive a Unique Registration Number or (URN). This number needs to be added to your bank account biller so that the payments take place hassle-free. Adding a biller in HDFC bank can be done in four simple steps. These steps are listed below as follows.
The first step in case of adding biller starts with logging into a bank account. Once you log in, click on the BillPay & Recharge tab which is on top of the screen. Once you click on this tab, a new screen opens up various bill payment options that you can add to your account. Here, you need to click on the Continue Button which is at the bottom of the screen. The image for this step is given below where the BillPay & Recharge option is shown with a black arrow and the Continue button is highlighted in Green.
Once you click on Continue button as mentioned in the previous step; it redirects you to a new screen. Here, you need to search for the option Register New Biller and click on Click here to add button. The image for this step is given below where the Register New Biller is highlighted with a Black Arrow.
This is the third step in the process. Once you click on Click here to add option, a new screen opens up where you need to select the Mutual Funds option. Once you select the Mutual Fund, the drop-down stating Select Mutual Fund next to it is enabled and you need to select BSE Limited in that option. The image for this screen is given below where the Mutual Funds and BSE Limited both are pointed by Black Arrows.
Once you select the BSE Limited and continue then; a new screen opens up. In this page, you need to add your URN. You will get this URN on your registered email from Fincash.com. If you do not get receive the email then; you can log onto the My SIPs Section of www.fincash.com and get your URN. Along with the URN, you also need to select other options such as AutoPay, Pay Entire Bill Amount, and Payment Mode and then press continue. The image for this step is given below where the URN and Continue option both are highlighted in Green.
Once you enter the details in the previous page and click on Continue button, a new screen opens up in which you need to check the details that you have entered and click on Confirm. The image for this screen is given below where the Confirm button is highlighted in Green.
Once you click on Confirm in the previous step, you get a confirmation stating the biller is added successfully. The image for this step is given below.
Thus, from the above steps, we can say that to add a biller for SIP transactions is easy in HDFC Bank.
