Vivo is soon going to host the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League. IPL 2022 will take place between March 27 and May 21, 2022 (tentative). The first match of the IPL 2022 season is expected to take place on March 27, 2022, at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The IPL 2021 tournament was delayed indefinitely on 4 May 2021 due to an upsurge in COVID-19 instances within the teams' bio bubbles. At the time of the suspension, thirty-one of the sixty planned matches had yet to be played. On May 29, 2021, the BCCI announced that the tournament's remaining matches would be placed in the UAE in September and October of this year. The schedule for the leftover tournament was released on July 25, 2021.
The BCCI has decided to add two extra teams to the IPL 2022 before the event. The BCCI will soon begin bidding for two more franchises. Before IPL 2022, you might watch the Mega Auction event.
With the inclusion of two additional teams, the IPL is expected to change its format, with the tournament being divided into two groups of five teams and a total of 74 matches.
With the possibility of keeping a total of four players, a mega auction may be held. And, the 54-day season will be extended to 60 days. Furthermore, the franchisees will also increase the pay cap.
The BCCI, franchises, and players will all benefit from the new structure, as the overall rewards will increase due to the increased number of matches. It's also worth noting that when broadcast deals extend, revenues will rise as well. The media rights are now held by Star India, although the 5-year deal will expire after the next season.

The BCCI is yet to release the official schedule for the IPL 2022 season.
Here is a list of all the teams inclusive in IPL 2022:
More teams equal a bigger IPL and more enjoyment for the fans. The IPL 2022 will feature ten teams. If the pandemic situation does not improve, the BCCI may delay the entry of new teams until 2022. Because of the COVID pandemic, the Mega auction has been postponed, and only the Mini-auction will take place in 2021. However, according to a BCCI Insider, there will be a Mega auction before IPL 2022; therefore, two new clubs will get added for the coming IPL tournament.
Hopefully, everything will go smoothly during the IPL 2022 season, which will be held entirely in India. In the event that the COVID issue prevents the BCCI from hosting the IPL and other important championships, the UAE has always been the second-best option.
While rumours continue to spread that IPL 2022 Mega Auction will be allowing four retentions, with at most three Indians along with one Overseas or two Indians along with two Overseas, nothing has yet been confirmed. The BCCI has not yet made any announcements concerning the purse deductions and the retention purse for each of the sides.
No matter what the rules are, there is one thing that is certain, that is, more than three capped Indian players and more than two abroad players will not be retained. Again, these are just the assumptions based on the player performance for the past three years, and they might vary based on the player's performance in the remaining IPL 2021 matches.
Previously, in Indian Premier League Live 2020, if a ball left the stadium or landed in the stands, umpires would sanitize the ball and continue the game with the same ball. The BCCI, on the other hand, has chosen to amend the rule this time in IPL 2022 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The BCCI and Emirates Cricket Board have agreed to allow spectators in the stands during Phase 2 of the IPL 2021, and this might also continue for the coming season of IPL 2022, considering the pandemic’s rise or fall. This means that if the ball gets into the stands, it may be touched by spectators or whoever throws the ball back.
In this case, there is a slight possibility that the ball will be exposed to an infected spectator in the stands. The BCCI has determined that if the ball lands in the stands or outside the stadium, it will be changed. Replacing the ball will help batsmen more since the new ball will be a hard one that will come readily on the bat. With this regulation change, spinners will have to adjust to bowling with a new ball on a regular Basis.
However, considering your own safety, you may also choose to go for Indian Premier League 2022 live matches with IPL on live.
Players will not be allowed to use saliva to shine the ball like they were in IPL 2020 and the first phase of 2021 IPL live. If a player does apply saliva to the ball, the umpires will treat the issue with some leniency during the players' initial adjustment period, but further incidents will result in a warning to the team. A 5-run penalty will be assessed to the batting side if the infraction is repeated.
Due to a bio-bubble breach caused by BCCI, the bio-secure bubble protocols IPL 2021 have been halted. As a result, the board is not in the mood to take a chance this time. The BCCI has given a strong warning to the players, stating that any violation of the bubble will not be condoned.
According to the BCCI's health and safety rules, none of the international players competing in the IPL will be subjected to quarantine, but franchise members and their families may face sanctions if a "bubble breach" occurs.
The BCCI noted under its Health and Safety regulations (which PTI has a copy of) that “breach of any bio-secure environment protocols by franchise members or their families shall be subject to disciplinary action by the BCCI.”
Due to the unreliability and malfunction of the gadgets, BCCI is discontinuing the use of Bluetooth-enabled contact bands. Instead, the bio-bubble integrity officers will be responsible for tracking each individual in the event that a Covid positive case develops in the bio-bubble.
Considering the current pandemic, here are some protocols to be followed:
The BCCI is doing everything necessary to avoid a bio-bubble breach with this team, as the match IPL 2021 was postponed in May when several players tested positive owing to a bubble breach.
