How to Block IOB Debit Card?
If the card is lost or stolen, you have to immediately get in touch with the banking authorities to block the debit card. There are 4 ways to block your Indian Overseas bank debit card:
1. Call the IOB customer care
Dial 18004254445 customer care number from your registered mobile number
Follow the IVR instruction, then select the right number to block the ATM Card
The executive will ask you to provide a few details of your account
After verification, you will receive a confirmation message on your mobile number for requesting to block the card. Following which, the card will get blocked instantly.
2. Email to block the card
Send an email from your registered e-mail ID to atmcard[@]iobnet.co.in
Provide the account details as well as the card number in the email
You will receive the confirmation mail stating that successful blocking of your ATM card
3. Block IOB ATM card via internet banking
Upon activation of internet banking services for your account, you can access the Facility.
Enter the login credential to access your net banking account
Search for the IOB Cards option to manage the ATM Card
Next, click on the IOB Debit Card and scroll right to Suspend Debit Card
Select your account number for Debit card suspension and request to block the ATM Card online following the instructions
You will receive a confirmation message on your mobile number
4. Visit the bank branch
Visit the home branch or any nearest branch of Indian Overseas Bank
Consult the executive and request to block the damaged/lost ATM Card
You would require to provide the account details along with the card details
IOB Debit Card PIN Generation
Following are the steps to generate PIN for IOB debit card:
Visit the nearest IOB ATM centre
Insert the debit card in the ATM machine
You will receive the 6 digit OTP on your registered mobile number
Insert the card again and type the OTP
Upon verification, enter 4 digit PIN of your choice
Confirm the PIN by re-entering the new PIN
The moment you complete the procedure, you will receive a notification that your debit card is activated successfully with a new PIN.
IOB ATM Application Online Form
You will have to visit the home branch and submit the duly filled application to the bank. Upon completion of the procedure, you will receive the debit card.
