The tender documents for the addition of two new IPL franchises are expected to be released in mid-August, according to the BCCI. The RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, based in Kolkata, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd, based in Hyderabad, the Adani Group, based in Ahmedabad, and the Torrent Group have all expressed interest in owning an IPL franchise.
The BCCI will induct the two new teams in mid-October after the documentation procedure is completed.

Currently, there isn’t any official word on revisions to the Mega Auction of IPL 2022. But, with the arrival of two new franchises, some changes to the present rules will likely be made.
Under the new rules, a franchise can only keep four players. Three Indian players and one abroad player, or two Indian players and two overseas players, make up the four players.
The board has also said that all players will be auctioned from the Auction table, except those who have been kept. With the help of the Mumbai Indians as an example, we will be able to comprehend.
Rohit Sharma (Captain), Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Kieron Pollard / Trent Boult are all players the franchise would like to keep. Except for these four players, all other Mumbai cricketers will head to the auction table, where the bids will determine their next franchise.
In IPL 2022’s Mega Auction, every franchise’s total purse value could be increased. Franchises could only spend INR 85 crores on players in the IPL 2021, but the BCCI should raise the cap this time.
Each franchise's total purse worth has been enhanced from INR 85 crores to INR 90 crores
. The purse value will also increase in the next two years, according to the board. In IPL 2023, it will cost INR 95 crores, while in IPL 2024, it will cost around INR 100 crores.
Due to the addition of the two new franchises, the ipl 2022 schedule window will be extended. The overall number of games will exceed 90, and it might be impossible to complete them all during the months of March and May.
The BCCI could follow the same process that was used for the IPL 2011 games. Teams were sorted into groups, and each team first played inside its own group before moving on to play with teams from other groups.
Until recently, each IPL team has been allowed to sign a maximum of 25 players
and a minimum of 18 players
(local and international), although this number could rise.
