Sunrisers Hyderabad Spends Rs. 6.90 Cr, Lowest in IPL 2020!

In IPL 2020 auction, Sunrisers Hyderabad turned out to be the lowest spending franchise with Rs. 6.90 crore to buy seven players. The highest buy-in the team is the all-rounder Mitchell Marsh from Australian.

This season, Sunrisers Hyderabad doesn’t bid for long in the auction, but still, it has three strong and experienced players -David Warner, Jonny Bairstow and Kane Williamson. David Warner will replace Kane Williamson as a captain this season.

Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL Team Revenue

As per sources, the Income for Sunrisers Hyderabad tripled to Rs. 443.91 crore in 2019 from 146.81 crores in FY 2018. The IPL franchise costs increased in FY 2019 by 34.5% of Rs. 227.17 crore, including IPL franchise fees of Rs. 84.99 crore. And, the cost of 2018 was Rs. 166.68 crore, including IPL franchise fees of Rs. 85.84 crore in FY 2018.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Franchise

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is owned by Kalanithi Maran and Sun TV Network. The franchise was formed in 2012, when the Deccan Chronicle went bankrupt. The SRH squad was announced on 18 December 2012 in Chennai and made a deal of five years in Rs. 85.05 crore. Later, after a week the Deccan Chargers were terminated due to the financial issues. The team management was led by Kris Srikkanth and now it is led by veteran Muttiah Muralitharan, Tom Moody and V.V.S Laxman.

The team is captained by David Warner and coached by Trevor Bayliss, a former Australian cricketer. According to Duff & Phelps, the team is estimated to be Rs. 483 crore in 2019.
