The road tax for four-wheelers are calculated by taking the original cost into consideration. Similar to two-wheelers this is a one-time tax that will be applied for 15 years.
Vehicles above 15 years will be reviewed and an accurate charge will be imposed on the vehicle considering depreciation.

Note: Old vehicles which need to be registered in Arunachal Pradesh is required to pay Vahan tax by taking depreciation into account. A depreciation of 7% per year is taken into consideration while calculating the road tax. The actual cost of the vehicle acting as the benchmark against the depreciation.
You can pay the road tax at the selected branches of State Bank of India (SBI). The assessee should get a Challan from the treasury of the bank.
