How to Pay Road Tax in Delhi?

Road tax is a one-time payment. The personal vehicle owner can deposit the road tax at the Delhi Zonal Registration office while registering the vehicle.

In the case of commercial vehicles, road tax needs to be paid annually. The road tax can be deposited at the account branch located in Head Quarters of the Transport Department.

Procedure to Pay Delhi Road Tax Online

To pay Delhi road tax online you need to follow the simple steps as follows:

  • Visit delhitrafficpolice[dot]nic[dot]in, click on ‘Notice’, in the dropdown click on ‘Pending Notice’ option
  • Now, you will be redirected to the e-Challan portal of Delhi Traffic Police. Enter your Vehicle Registration Number and click on search details
  • After completing all details you will have to click on ‘Pay Now’ to proceed further. You will be redirected to the SBI payment gateway option and accept terms and conditions
  • Select the mode of payment credit/Debit Card or Net-banking and enter all the important details. Once you have completed all the details, click on ‘Pay Now’ and proceed further
  • After completing the payment you will receive a message of payment successful with the transaction ID number for the future references
