Latest Update on PM Kisan Yojana

As per the latest update on PM Kisan Yojana given by the government of India, the beneficiary farmers must get their Bank accounts e-KYC verified and link the same with Aadhaar. It should be done before the release of the 13th installment of the scheme. The last date to complete this e-KYC is February 10, 2023. Accordingly, in Rajasthan, almost 24.45 lakh beneficiaries have not completed e-KYC of their bank accounts and 1.94 lakh beneficiaries have not linked their direct bank accounts with Aadhaar. Lately, the Bihar government also came up with something similar for beneficiary farmers. In a tweet, the Bihar government’s department claimed that about 16.74 lakh beneficiaries haven’t completed the e-KYC verification in the state.

What is Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme?

Launched on 1st December 2018, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme is a central sector scheme that offers 100% funding from the Indian government. Under this scheme, Rs. 6000 per year is offered to farmer families across the nation in three installments, meaning Rs. 2000 every four months. When it comes to defining the family, there should be a husband, wife and minor children. The responsibility of identifying the beneficiary families is given to state governments and UT governments. PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Eligibility Criteria

If you wish to apply for this PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, you must be wary of the eligibility criteria. Here is the list of people who can apply for this scheme:

  • Farmer families who hold a Land with cultivable landholding in their name

PM Kisan e-KYC: Steps to Complete the Verification

Under the PM-Kisan scheme, farmers can avail the benefits by either registering themselves on the official PM-Kisan portal or by using the e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) option. e-KYC is an easy and convenient way for farmers to avail the benefits of the scheme without visiting any government office.   • To begin with, visit the official website of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana - www.pmkisan.gov.in
  • Scroll down a bit to Farmers Corner
  • Choose e-KYC option
  • A new window will open where you will have to enter your Aadhaar number
  • Click 'Search'
  • Upon doing so, the system will automatically retrieve your details from the UIDAI database and will verify the same with the PM-Kisan database
  • If the details match, you will get an OTP on the mobile number registered with your Aadhaar card
  • Enter the OTP and click 'Submit' option
  • Your Aadhaar e-KYC will be completed

Documents Required for PM-Kisan Registration
