Like other identity verification documents, Indians are supposed to arrange a set of required documents when applying for a PAN card. Similarly, you may need to submit these documents when re-issuing or making corrections to the existing PAN card.
The government needs documents that confirm your identity proof, date of birth, and address proof. A PAN card is issued to people of all ages, backgrounds, and residential statuses. It is one of the few identity verification documents that a minor can apply for. If the age of the applicant is below 18, the identity verification documents of the parents or their legal guardians can be used for the PAN card application.

The individual or organization applying for a PAN card must submit the documents that act as valid proof of their address to the authorities. Here are the documents required for change of address in PAN card or new issuance.
Any other valid document with your address mentioned in it can be used for the address proof.
Other documents issued by the central or state government, featuring your date of birth information are considered valid for the PAN card application.
HUF stands for the hindu undivided family. The PAN card application for HUF and NRIs vary slightly from the normal application. Applicants who fall into the HUF and NRI categories need to submit the identity of proof and address. In the case of HUF, the Karta or the head of the family has to submit the identity verification and address proof containing the name, father’s name, and other members of the family. The documents must be in the name of the head.

Not applying for a PAN card for your business can get your company into trouble, as it is considered withholding of your income and tax information from the government. So, every company - whether it is a limited liability partnership or a trust, needs to apply for a PAN card online at the NSDL e-governance portal.
The application process for PAN cards for companies is slightly different from that for individuals. The certificate of registration is the only additional document a company requires to submit to the NSDL center, in addition to the documents mentioned above. If you are running a partnership firm, then a partnership Deed is required for a PAN card.
